Helmut Newton's Private Property Collection "Gia By Cadillac Hollywood" original photo shoot features a nude model aside from one of Newton's favorite automobiles, a Cadillac convertible. In ‘Hollywood 1976 Cadillac in Garage’, Newton plays on the idea of parking multiple cars in your garage. Channeling the twin boyhood desires of girls and cars, there is a sense of seduction and danger to both as they come toward you. Newton was to use cars as a prop for his work throughout his career, collecting them himself. Having driven as a truck driver and mechanic for the Australian Army during the war, they were a large part of his life. The Cadillac featured in this image was Newton's own.
