Playboy Legacy Collection “Salvador Dali I” original fine art print that originated with a pictorial the magazine commissioned famous surrealist artist Salvador Dali to collaborate with the magazine and render his vision of female beauty in photographic images. Staff photographer Pompeo Posar travelled to Dali's villa in his hometown of Cadaques, Spain and spent two weeks immersed in the world of Salvador Dali. The result was a series of prints that featured a woman and a large egg and self portrait that have a subtle yet chaotic beauty about them. The image was shot in 1974 by renowned photographer Pompeo Posar and artist Salvador Dali and was published in the December 1974 issue of Playboy. Dali's recognizable signature is etched in a random location into the print adding Dali's touch to the finished print forever.

The Playboy Legacy Collection features 48 museum quality images dating back to the inception of Playboy Magazine in December 1953 with the inaugural edition featuring a young Marilyn Monroe. Each of the 48 images was hand selected by Playboy founder Hugh Hefner and International Images CEO Normal Solomon for it's iconic place in history and eternal beauty. Read more
