Chromogenic Prints with continuous tone (C-Prints)

C-type prints are notable for their continuous tone and vibrant colors. The first widely used color print process, modern c-type prints are printed from high resolution digital files produced from drum-scanned negatives or transparencies. C-type prints use dye-based inks and light sensitive photographic papers and should not be confused with inkjet, or giclée prints. The C-Print differs from an inkjet print because it is a chemical, rather than a digital, process and as the image is enlarged, it maintains a smoothness and richness in color that is often lost when compared to a digital enlargement. Additionally, the difference between an inkjet print and a C-print really shines when you put it behind plexiglass or have the image framed.
