For decades the Hotel Cap du Eden Roc in the seaside French town of Antibes has long attracted celebrity and royal guests alike.  Built in 1869 by the founder of the French publication Le Figaro as an escape for aspiring writers and artists, the hotel was host to the likes of F. Scott Fitzgerald, Ernest Hemingway, Orson Welles, Winston Churchill, Charles de Gaulle and many others.
