Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, 1st Marquis of Dalí de Púbol, known professionally as Salvador Dalí, was a prominent Spanish surrealist born in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain. Dalí was a skilled draftsman, best known for the striking and bizarre images in his surrealist work. These photographic images were part of a collaboration with Playboy magazine in 1973 when they commission the artist to work with one of their long time staff photographers, Pompeo Posar, to capture a surrealist pictorial depicting feminine beauty. The photo shoot lasted two weeks at Dali's villa and resulted in these two stunning photographic examples.
