"16th Arrondissement, Paris 1975" 16x20 Vintage Silver Gelatin Print by Helmut Newton
In "16th Arrondissement, Paris 1975," Helmut Newton explores the delicate power dynamics between lady and maid, capturing a moment of suggestive tension through carefully composed body language. A firmly placed hand on the doorway, an intense locked gaze—each element heightens the narrative drama, inviting the viewer to interpret what unfolds beyond the frame.
Shot in the prestigious 16th Arrondissement of Paris, where Newton himself resided, this image transforms the viewer into a voyeur, peering into an intimate scene through the night’s shadows. Newton’s ability to weave subtle storytelling into fine art photography makes this print a timeless and provocative addition to any collection.
