"Rue Aubriot with Nude Model Kissing, Paris 1975"
20x24 Vintage Silver Gelatin Print by Helmut Newton

Description: A visually arresting and emotionally layered addition to Helmut Newton’s celebrated Rue Aubriot series, "Rue Aubriot with Nude Model Kissing, Paris 1975" continues Newton’s exploration of androgyny, desire, and Parisian nocturne with remarkable intimacy.

This image, the third in the Rue Aubriot series, features actress Vibeke Knudsen kissing a nude model, both poised in a lamp-lit street in Paris’ historic Marais district. Knudsen wears Yves Saint Laurent’s iconic Le Smoking tuxedo, reinforcing the androgynous aesthetic that defined 1970s fashion, while the inclusion of the nude model adds a layer of eroticism and narrative depth.

Shot using only ambient street lighting, the composition draws direct inspiration from Brassai’s moody nighttime photography, casting long shadows and imbuing the image with a sense of cinematic drama. Newton’s own home appears in the background, grounding this provocative moment in his personal geography and creative universe.  This print ships in 5 to 7 days.  Read more about Helmut Newton's Rue Aubriot here.
